Today’s featured entrepreneur is Jackie Silver, or should I say my new BFF? Â Jackie and I recently met for the first time in Florida where she is known as the “aging backwards guru.” During our lunch together, she gently reminded me to stop frowning, Â gave me invaluable beauty tips, and just by her glow made me feel like I should be working harder to look…well, just like her! Â Not only does Jackie look young and feel young, but she girlishly throws around terms like BFF without sounding the least bit ridiculous. Only someone who is aging backwards can get away with that.

ps-check her out plugging MY product on the radio! Mother Ink Tampa Radio

1. At what age did you know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

I’m pretty sure I was BORN an entrepreneur. I’ve had plenty of my own businesses. We used to make a Halloween Horror House at a very young age and charge admission. I’ve started three businesses.

2. What is your product or business and how did you get started?

My business is AgingBackwards.com. The idea came to me in a dream…isn’t that how all the best ideas start?

3. What separates your business from the competition? In other words, what makes it special?

What makes my business special is that everyone wants to stay young and I know how to do it – then I tell you! I’m especially adept at finding the latest, greatest anti-aging and beauty breakthroughs, not to mention I’m personal friends with many of the world’s top experts in the industry. I get “inside info” to share.

4. What separates you from other business leaders? In other words, what makes YOU special?

What makes me different than other people in my industry?  I’m 50 and I still get asked for I.D. to buy wine. David Kekich, CEO of Maximum Life Foundation said, “Jackie is a poster child for anti-aging, so take her advice.”

5. What is a typical day like for you? Not just work, but the good stuff, too.

Typically, I work all day every day. Luckily, my work is tons of FUN and I love it!  When I’m not doing TV, radio or writing, I travel extensively meeting amazing people, having wonderful adventures, discovering new ways to keep Aging Backwards – I have the perfect life!

6. Has being a single entrepreneur helped you or hurt you in business and why?

I always say, “Two brains are better than one,” so even though I’m a single entrepreneur, I make it a point to seek out brilliant people to brainstorm and collaborate with.

7. Describe the ideal person who would complement both your life and your business.

The ideal person who would complement my business would be someone who is very business-savvy. I’ve got the content. I’ve got the ”staying young” down.  I’ve got the P.R. down.  My weak area is business.  So, any biz geniuses out there?  Feel free to contact me, wink.

8. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years?  I see myself living on the West Coast, taking a huge vacation (haven’t had a real vacation in years) that I’ve always wanted to take with Voluntourism.  That’s not a typo.  It’s a company that arranges vacations combined with giving back – perfect!  That’s what I plan to do for the rest of my life when I “retire.”
